Search & Filtering

Use search to find specific or similar nodes, and filters to constrain the visible set.

The search box in the top bar supports two complementary approaches:

  • Text search matches names and metadata. Use it when you know what you are looking for.
  • Semantic search finds conceptually similar nodes, even when they use different words.

Live suggestions are grouped by entity type, with the strongest few matches from each type shown together. This keeps common entity types from crowding rarer matching types out of the preview.

A sensitivity or threshold control adjusts how broad semantic results should be. In media-rich universes, search may also include images, scenes, chapters, or other media content.

Applying a search uses the complete matching set in relevance order. The entity-type grouping affects only the live suggestions.

Dimensions are the categorical axes available in a universe. A games universe might include Genre, Developer, Publisher, or Series, while another universe may provide an entirely different set.

The side panel displays a facet chart for the selected dimension. Select a value to pin it as a filter; every view then narrows to matching nodes. Change the selected dimension to group the same data another way.

Some universes provide quick filters for common fields such as region, platform, or date. These can be combined with dimension and search filters.

Every applied filter appears in the top bar. Remove a single filter from its chip, or use the clear control to return to the full universe. The visible node count updates as filters change.
