Cronologies
What is Cronologies?
Section titled “What is Cronologies?”Cronologies is a tool for thought that turns documents, media, and tables into semantic maps you can search, connect, and explore. Related material gathers into neighborhoods, explicit links reveal structure, and the same universe can be viewed as a globe, graph, grid, timeline, or first-person world.
Choose a starting point
Section titled “Choose a starting point”- Explore a demo. Open the NES Games universe and move through a ready-made semantic map.
- Create from your files. Follow Getting Started to build a universe from your own documents, spreadsheets, images, or video.
- Understand the ideas. Read the principles behind semantic maps, viewpoints, nodes, and links.
What can you do?
Section titled “What can you do?”- Find clusters, outliers, and isolated patterns in high-dimensional data.
- Search text and media by meaning rather than exact keywords.
- Compare records, add metadata, and draw typed connections as you learn.
- Record a route through a universe and replay it as a guided journey.
How is your data processed?
Section titled “How is your data processed?”Cronologies is local by default. Most imports are parsed, embedded, and stored in your browser. When server processing is enabled, large CSV imports can be processed through your account in the cloud; the create flow shows upload and processing progress when that path is used.
