Terms of Service

Welcome to Cronologies (the “Service”), operated by Paul Sukhanov (“we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Service. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and have the authority to agree to these Terms.

2. Accounts and Email Verification

To use the Service, you must register with a valid email address and verify it. You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate information.
  • Keeping your account credentials secure.
  • All activity that occurs under your account.

Notify us promptly at support@treeofknowledge.app if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload or process content you do not have the right to use.
  • Upload content that is unlawful, infringing, malicious, or harmful.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users’ data.
  • Interfere with, disrupt, or overload the Service.
  • Use the Service to violate any applicable law or regulation.
  • Reverse engineer or scrape the Service except as permitted by law.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Your Content

Ownership. You retain all ownership rights in the datasets, files, and other content you upload (“Your Content”).

License to us. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, and display Your Content solely as needed to operate and provide the Service to you. This license ends when you delete Your Content or close your account, except for backups retained for a reasonable period or as required by law.

Responsibility. You are solely responsible for Your Content and for ensuring you have the rights necessary to upload and process it through the Service.

5. Our Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, and branding (excluding Your Content), is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our permission.

6. Service Availability

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.

7. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS OR THAT ANY VISUALIZATIONS OR OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PAUL SUKHANOV WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR REVENUE, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR $100 IF YOU USE THE SERVICE FOR FREE.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Paul Sukhanov from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from Your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or for other legitimate reasons. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends, and we may delete Your Content in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new “Last Updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
