This Privacy Policy describes how Paul Sukhanov (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use Cronologies (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly
- Email address. We collect your email address when you register so we can verify your account and communicate with you.
- Account verification data. When you confirm your email, we record that the verification occurred (and the time it occurred).
- Data you upload. The Service lets you upload datasets and files for visualization. We store and process this content on your behalf to provide the Service.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data. IP address, browser type, device information, and similar identifiers.
- Usage data. Pages visited, features used, timestamps, and interactions with the Service.
- Cookies and similar technologies. See Section 7.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account and verify your email address.
- Provide, operate, and maintain the data visualization features of the Service.
- Process and display the data you upload.
- Send service-related communications (e.g., verification, security alerts, important updates).
- Send marketing communications, where permitted and subject to your ability to opt out.
- Monitor, secure, and improve the Service, and detect or prevent fraud and abuse.

You retain ownership of the datasets and files you upload. We access and process this content only to provide the Service to you, as described in our Terms of Service. We do not use your uploaded data to train models or for unrelated purposes unless you give explicit consent.

We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Section 8). We may retain certain information where required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention.

We use browser storage and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember preferences, store local edits, and understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies and site storage through your browser settings. We do not currently use advertising cookies.

We do not sell personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
